We are so sorry that the technical difficulties on Friday made it difficult for many to hear this terrific video. We wanted you to have the opportunity to view it again at your leisure... at a better volume :). It is only 14 minutes long, and is well-worth another viewing.
Just a few thoughts:
ReplyDelete1) I LOVE the fact that this couple discusses the theological implications of the movies they're watching with their kids! Everything we listen to and see in our culture is trying to teach us something (whether we know it or not). It's so important in our media-saturated culture for us to be teaching our kids how to look at our world with a discerning, biblical eye.
2) I'm also blessed by Voddie and Bridget's "burn the ships" mentality in their marriage. With marriage under such great attack in our world today, it's a wonderful thing to see families who have chosen to stand fast no matter what. When it comes to our families and our faith, we need that same level of commitment... no crutches, no fall-back positions... only the will to see it through to the end no matter what it takes.
3) One final thought... What an encouragement it is to hear a father say, "as for me and my house, we WILL serve the Lord and this is where we begin... even if it's just this little baby step. We will serve the Lord." May that be the commitment of all our hearts! I'm praying for every one of you dads and moms to be able to take that stand every day for your family.
